Eddie Griffin News and Information Funny man Eddie Griffin is gearing up for two comedy shows. The first is at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C. The second is at the Silver Legacy Casino in Reno, NV.

A native of Kansas City, Missouri, Griffin attended East High School where he was voted class clown three years in a row. He was married and divorced at sixteen and seventeen, respectively, and his oldest son, Eddie Jr., was born in 1986.

After a stint in the Navy (where he was discharged after testing positive for drugs), he worked as a choreographer for the dance crew that performed half-time shows for the Kansas City Chiefs football team.

The first time he performed at a comedy club was after meeting a couple at a Kansas City Denny's who owned a club and invited him to perform. What started out as a three minute spot spread to a successful 45 minutes. His humble beginnings eventually led him to being ranked No. 62 on Comedy Central's list of the 100 Greatest Stand-ups of All Time.

To date, Griffin has starred in several popular movies including Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo (1999), Undercover Brother (2002), Scary Movie 3 (2003), Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo (2005) and Norbit (2007).
