Following a performance at Atlantic City's House of Blues, Diddy is gearing up for the release of his fifth studio album, Last Train to Paris. Upcoming tour dates in support of the album will be announced soon.

The album is scheduled to be released on Sept. 20th on Bad Boy and Interscope records. This is the first album to be released with Diddy and his group Dirty Money, which consists of Dawn Richard and Kaleena Harper.

Diddy, who was born Sean John Combs, has worn many hats through his life. First as a child in the Harlem projects whose father was shot to death as the possible result of a gang association with New York drug lord Frank Lucas, then as a popular high school football player at a Roman Catholic high school in the Bronx.

After graduation, Combs attended Washington, D.C.'s Howard University where he excelled in marketing. His first step toward the music business came when he was given an internship at Uptown Records. His internship turned into much more, and Diddy eventually dropped out of Howard to pursue life as an Uptown executive.

After being fired from Uptown Records in 1992, Combs began Bad Boy Records which drew in The Notorious B.I.G. from Uptown. He also began producing for well-known artists like Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men, Usher, TLC and Lil Kim.

Up to this point, he was known as Sean Combs, but in 1997 he took the stage name Puff Daddy when he debuted his first rap album No Way Out. The album was a success, especially from the songs "Can't Nobody Hold Me Down" and "I'll Be Missing You" in memory of the murder of The Notorious B.I.G. in 1997.

In 1999, Combs was involved in an incident at a club in New York that later resulted in his arrest for weapons violations. After he was found not guilty, he took the stage name P. Diddy. Over the next four years, P. Diddy released three albums: Forever (1999), The Saga Continues... (2001) and We Invented the Remix (2002).

This was around the same time that he got into acting, first in films like "Made" and "Monster's Ball" and later in a MTV reality show called "Making the Band 2."

P. Diddy changed his stage name yet again in 2005 to Diddy and, in 2006, released his first album in four years, Press Play. The album featured numerous collaborations from artists like Fergie and Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas, Keyshia Cole and Mary J. Blige.

Since the album, Diddy has been continued working on reality shows, such as "I Want to Work for Diddy" on VH1 and "Making the Band 4." His next album, Last Train to Paris, is scheduled for release in September 2010.
