David Byrne is on tour through December 13 in support of his latest album "Everything That Happens Will Happen Today," which was released in August!
"Everything That Happens Will Happen Today" is the second compilation album between David Byrne and Brian Eno since 1981s "My Life in the Bush of Ghosts." The album is a mixture between electronic and Gospel music, and has been in the making throughout 2007 and 2008.
The first single off the album, "Strange Overtones," was released on August 4, 2008, as a free digital download only through the album's website, and was downloaded over 40,000 times within the first three days it was available.
In September 2008, a music video for "Strange Overtones" was released, and featured the paintings of Brian Eno.
David Byrne is best known as a founding member of the band Talking Heads, which continued between 1974 and 1991. From 1991 to the present, "Everything That Happens Will Happen Today" excluded, Byrne has been working solo. In the 17 year span, Byrne released five albums and dabbled in film, photography, and opera.
His many achievements have been recognized by Grammy, Oscar and Golden Globe awards.
