Dave Matthews Band will kick off their North American tour on the first unofficial two days of summer—Memorial Day Weekend!
The tour is in support of DMB's seventh studio album "Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King," which was released in June 2009.
DMB will begin the 49-city tour with a two-night stay in Hartford, Conn., and wrap things up on Sept. 15 in Saint Paul, Minn. Just as with DMB's past tours, they will have numerous supporting acts including Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, The Felice Brothers, Yonder Mountain String Band, Robert Earl Keen, Martin Sexton, Zac Brown Band, Amos Lee, Gov't Mule, Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears, Brett Dennen, Raphael Saadiq, Ben Harper & Relentless7, and Alberta Cross.
"Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King" received two nods at the 52nd annual Grammy Awards for 'Best Rock Album' and 'Album of the Year.'
