Darius Rucker 2011 Fall Tour News Darius Rucker has made the transition from Hootie & the Blowfish frontman to country star, and continues to solidify his position in the new genre. From September through November, Rucker is touring the U.S. and Canada in continued support of his third studio album, "Charleston, SC 1966."

Rucker is coming off a whirlwind summer supporting Kenny Chesney's massive 'Goin' Coastal' tour, playing arenas and stadiums all around the country. It seems the outing has only fueled Rucker's touring fire as he strikes out on his own this fall.

The 29-city tour kicks off on Sept. 1 at the Best Buy Theater in New York wraps up on Nov. 12 at the North Charleston Coliseum in South Carolina.

Additional tour dates include Sept. 8 at the Toledo Zoo Amphitheatre in Toledo; Sept. 16 at the Johnny Mercer Theatre in Savannah; Sept. 22 at the Great Frederick Fair in Frederick, Md.; Oct. 9 at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena in Binghamton, N.Y.; Oct. 22 at the US Bank Arena in Cincinnati and more.

"Charleston, SC 1966" features the popular songs "This" and "Come Back Song." It is Rucker's third studio album and second country album following 2008's "Learn to Live."
