Daniel Tosh News and Information Daniel Tosh rose to prominence on the stand-up comedy scene after an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman. Since then, he has become a regular on late-night TV and is making a name for himself on Comedy Central.

Tosh grew up in Titusville, Fla., and earned a degree in marketing from the University of Central Florida in 1997. Shortly after graduation, he moved to Los Angeles, Calif., and began working his way up the chain in the world of comedy.

Tosh was featured on "The Late Show with David Letterman” in 2001, and was then invited to perform on "The Tonight Show,” "The Jimmy Kimmel Show” and Comedy Centrals "Premium Blend.” The comedy channel liked the performance, and offered him a thirty-minute special on "Comedy Central Presents” in 2002.

Tosh released "True Stories I Made Up” in 2005 by Comedy Central, and he eventually scored his very own special - Comedy Central aired "Daniel Tosh: Completely Serious” in the summer of 2007, and also released an accompanying DVD.

Tosh has also found success out of Comedy Central - he shot four television projects for MTV Networks and filmed a pilot for TNT, "Short Flix.”
