Australian electropop band Cut Copy is the brainchild of Dan Whitford, a graphic designer and DJ, who created the group and released a single in 2001. Two years later, Tim Hoey, Mitchell Scott and Bennett Foddy joined the band. Together they produced the L.P., "Bright Like Neon Love."
In 2004, Foddy left the band and was later replaced by Ben Browning. The band gained popularity while on their first international tour in 2005 when they visited Los Angeles, New York City and London. They also began touring with well-known bands like Bloc Party, Franz Ferdinand and Daft Punk.
In 2008, the band released their second album, "In Ghost Colours," which jumped to No. 1 on the ARIA Charts following its debut.
In March 2011, Cut Copy released their third studio album, "Zonoscope," and announced another world tour that takes them throughout North America, Australia, Spain, Sweden, the U.K. and more. "Zonoscope" features the popular songs "Where I'm Going," "Take Me Over" and "Need You Now."
