The hilariously funny Craig Ferguson, the recently announced winner of the 2009 Peabody Award, is beginning a live tour on April 23rd in Toronto. The man who is undoubtedly the hippest late night television talk show host going, admits that he confuses Scarlett Johansson with Jonah Hill, Kirstie Alley blames him for her weight gain, and he recently introduced his sidekick, Geoff Peterson, a mohawked skeleton robot in a tattered suit with a maudlin wit.

Ferguson will tour through the mid-western US before coming to the east coast in July where performances are selling out fast. The tour will wrap with a final show at Carnegie Hall in New York City on October 23rd.

Ferguson swears he is not competing with other late night talk show hosts, stating "When it all broke down between Conan and Jay, it was a wake up call for me...There was a lesson there about trying to be something you're not...Everybody ****'s up when they try to be what they don't want to be. So, here's what I'm not. I'm not that guy...if late night is a club, I don't want to be a member." He refers to his late night show as a 'TV' show, and makes it clear that he is not trying to be a 'late night' personality.

Ferguson is a Scottish-American who gained visibility playing the office boss, Nigel Wick, on "The Drew Carey Show." He has written and appeared in three films "The Big Tease," "Saving Grace" and "I'll Be There' and he has numerous television appearances and accolades.

Ferguson wrote and published a novel entitled, "Between the Bridge and the River", which was published in 2006. The book was hailed by "Publishers Weekly" and called a "tour de force of cynical humor and poignant reverie, a caustic yet ebullient picaresque that approaches the sacred by way of the profane."

Ferguson describes his childhood in Glasgow, Scotland as tough; he was chubby and bullied. He has done everything from work construction to being a bouncer at a club in New York before he was given the role on "The Drew Carey Show." He was married three times and divorced twice. He is an admitted recovering alcoholic who's been sober since February 1992.
