The folks at Rock Star Energy Drink have a recipe for success, and I'm not talking about the beverage. For more than a decade now, rock fans have populated the Vans Warped Tour. Now, country music fans also have their very own music festival the Country Throwdown Tour presented by Rock Star Energy Drink.

From May 14 to June 20, the Country Throwdown Tour is on the road throughout the U.S. with stops remaining in Virginia, New Jersey, Texas, Utah, Colorado, California and Arizona.

The 2010 Country Throwdown Tour features performances by headliners Montgomery Gentry, Jamey Johnson, Jack Ingram and Little Big Town as well as Tyler Reeve, Heidi Newfield, The Lost Trailers, The Eli Young Band, Emily West, Eric Church, Jonathan Singleton & The Grove, Ryan Bingham and the Dead Horses, Dave Pahanish, Walker Hayes, Troy Olsen, Sara Buxton, Ashley Ray, Brad Tursi, Cory Branan, Heather Morgan and Jedd Hughes.

The Country Throwdown Tour was created in 2010 to resemble the Vans Warped Tour for country music lovers. The tour brings together more than 20 country music bands for a month long tour throughout the U.S.

Along with the music, fans are also able to meet and greet with their favorite artists, get autographs and pictures, and peruse the food and drink selections. The festival features three stages of music as well as a songwriters' stage (the Bluebird Cafe) where fans can see the creative minds behind some of their favorite songs.

Though 2010 is the Country Throwdown Tour's first year in existence, festival creator Kevin Lyman has hopes for it to continue annually.
