Clay Aiken 2010 Tour News Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard, who battled each other for the top spot on "American Idol" in 2003, have announced plans for a summer co-headlining tour.

Studdard, who was the ultimate winner, and Aiken, who came in at a close second place, have remained friends over the past seven years, and now plan to combine their talents for a handful of shows throughout the East Coast and Midwest.

The tour, which kicks off on July 23 in Asheville, N.C., will run through Aug. 14 in Biloxi, Miss. Along the way, the duo promise a bevy of surprise guests, as well as performances separate and together.

"I couldn't ask for a better tour mate," Aiken said. "To be able to share the stage with him again is so exciting. He is such a talented artist. He inspires me daily and I think that respect and admiration will truly be reflected in our show."
