Cheech and Chong Tickets

Cheech and Chong have developed into household names in the entertainment industry, and they are taking their brand of comedy on the road this fall.

Richard "Cheech" Marin and Tommy Chong have been entertaining audiences since the '70s with their stand-up routines, mostly rooted in the "hippy" way of life including drug use and free love.

The comedians gained fame as a duo, releasing a number of comedy albums and several films. They released five comedy albums before their first feature film, "Up in Smoke" in 1978. They went on to star in six low-budget films over the next five years, developing a reputation for envelope-pushing humor.

During this time the funnymen developed some legendary routines, including "Earache My Eye," "Santa Claus and his Old Lady," "Basketball Jones" and "Sister Mary Elephant."

After the release of "Get Out of My Room," a novelty album, Marin began working on a solo career, including voicing several animated films such as "Oliver in Company," "The Lion King" and "Cars." He has since become quite a television giant, staring in shows such as "Nash Bridges" and "Judging Amy." He also had roles in a number of mainstream films, including "Desperado," "From Dusk Till Dawn," "Once Upon a Time in Mexico" and "Christmas with the Kranks."

Chong also took to TV, starring in the FOX Television series "That '70s Show."

The duo reunited for a tour in June of 2008. They announced a larger "Light It Up America/Canada" for the fall, and a film will follow highlighting their travels.
