Carrie Underwood, the winner of American Idol Season 4, has found crossover success as a country pop star, making her a multi-platinum selling artist with several Grammy Awards.

Underwood grew up in Muskogee, Oklahoma and always had an interest in performing. She attended University of Tahlequah and graduated with honors after winning her American Idol prize in 2005.

The singer first released "Some Hearts" in 2005, which was a country-heavy album that gave her almost two years of successful singles. It included the hits "Jesus, Take the Wheel," "Dont Forget About Me," "Wasted" and her most successful single, "Before He Cheats."

In 2007, Underwood released her second album, "Carnival Ride." The star was more involved in this collection, which included the hits "So Small" and "All American Girl." Underwood traveled the country with Keith Urban in January of 2008 on the "Love, Pain and the Whole Crazy Carnival Ride Tour" which ran through April.

Over her short career thus far, she has compiled an incredible list of awards. She took home a Grammy for "Best New Artist" in 2007 and "Best Female Country Vocal Performance" in 2007 and 2008. She also took home the Horizon Award and "Female Vocalist of the Year" from the County Music Association and "Female Vocalist of the Year" from the Academy of Country Music Awards for two years.
