Bryan Adams Background Information
In the '80s and '90s, Bryan Adams was a major force in pop-rock music. His up-tempo songs, heart wrenching ballads, and way with an electric guitar made him an international superstar, with plenty of commercial and critical acclaim to boot, including a number of multi-platinum records and three Academy Award nominations. Adams, who hails from Canada, had an extreme interest in music since high school. He left school at age 15 to tour nightclubs, and he worked odd jobs to supplement his income. After sending some demos to A&M records at age 18, Adams was signed and released his self-titled debut album in 1980 - the only popular song from the album was "Dont Let Him Know," which hit No.29 on the Billboard Top 40. Adams first big album was "Reckless," released in 1984. It hit No.1 on the Billboard Album Chart, and included the hits "Run to You," "Summer of '69" and "Heaven." The album has been certified five times platinum. "Into the Fire," released in 1987, was next for the up-and-coming superstar, and his first live album, "Live! Live! Live" was broadcasted in 1988. Adams became even more successful in the '90s - the album "Waking up the Neighbours" in 1991 included the massive single "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You," which was also included on the "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" soundtrack. This song catapulted him to international success, and his next album "So Far So Good" solidified that, including the hit "Please Forgive Me." Adams caught onto his success in soundtracks and ran with it - he recorded "All For Love" with Sting and Rod Stewart for "The Three Musketeers" and "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?" for "Don Juan DeMarco." He also took part in several collaborations, including "Rock Steady" with Bonnie Raitt, "I Finally Found Someone" with Barbra Streisand and "When Youre Gone" with Melanie C. In the past decade, Adams has been spending less time in the studio. He released "Live at the Budokan," recorded in Tokyo and "Live at Slane Castle." In 2004, he released his first studio album in six years - "Room Service." In 2005, he released "Anthology," a two-disc set made up of hits and rarities from his career. Adams clearly dominated his genre for almost two decades, and he still tours regularly to millions of fans! GreatSeats.com uses secure servers to process your order for the Bryan Adams tour.
