Brandon Flowers, the man who is known best as The Killers lead singer, has recently began a solo career, complete with a debut album and a fall tour! The tour is in support of his debut solo album, Flamingo, which was released on Sept. 14. Two of the album's popular songs "Crossfire" and "Only the Young" have already hit the charts.

Flowers' 15-city North American tour kicks off on Nov. 10 at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles and runs through Dec. 4 at Toronto's Sound Academy. Along the way, he also has stops at Seattle's Showbox SoDo on Nov. 14; Chicago's Riviera Theatre on Nov. 23; the Boston House of Blues on Nov. 26; Philadelphia's Electric Factory on Nov. 28 and more! Flowers' final U.S. tour date is Dec. 2 at the Hammerstein in New York.

As the youngest of six children, Brandon Flowers always had an interest in music, though he didn't decide to pursue it until he watched an Oasis concert as a teenager. After deciding to drop out of college, Flowers spent time as a bellhop in Las Vegas and in a synthetic pop band, Blush Response.

In 2001, when Flowers was 20, he quit Blush Response because he didn't want to move to Los Angeles with the rest of the band. However, he hadn't written off music forever. Instead, he was going to create a band of his own. The result was The Killers.

After responding to an ad in the paper, Flowers met up with guitarist Dave Keuning. The duo went through several bass guitarists and drummers before settling with the current members, Mark Stoermer on bass and Ronnie Vannucci on drums.

Together, the group's reputation traveled by word of mouth, and after returning from their first trip to London, they were signed to Island Def Jam in late-2003. In June 2004, The Killers released their debut album Hot Fuss, which featured the hits "Mr. Brightside," "All These Things That I've Done" and "Somebody Told Me."

The album was highly successful, and The Killers toured in support of it well into 2005. In October 2006, their released their sophomore album, Sam's Town. Again, the album was a huge success, jumping to the No. 2 spot on the Billboard chart and as since been certified platinum in the U.S.

In November 2007, the group released their first compilation album, Sawdust, and in November of the next year they came out with their third album, Day & Age.
In support of the album, The Killers toured throughout 2009, including stops at the Lollapalooza and Coachella music festivals.

After being on the road and in the studio for most of the past six years, The Killers announced in January 2010 that they needed a break. This hiatus gave Flowers the chance to branch out as a solo artist, and in April he announced that he would be releasing his debut album, Flamingo, in September.

Throughout the fall of 2010, Flowers held his first solo world tour in support of Flamingo. In addition, The Killers are set to return to the studio in 2011, and their next album is rumored to hit the shelves sometime in 2012.
