Nickelodeon's boy band brainchild Big Time Rush is taking the music scene from the screen to the road with their first worldwide tour this summer. The tour kicks off in the U.S. on July 19 at the Jackson County Fair in Central Point, Ore., and runs through Oct. 8 at the Big Fresno Fair in Fresno, Calif.
Along the way, Big Time Rush has gigs coast to coast like July 24 at the Delaware State Fairgrounds in Harrington; the Wisconsin State Fair in Milwaukee on Aug. 6; the Indiana State Fairground in Indianapolis on Aug. 11; the Allentown Fairgrounds in Allentown, Penn. on Sept. 4 and more.
They're also scheduled to play alongside fellow Nickelodeon star Selena Gomez on July 25 at the California Mid-state Fairgrounds in Paso Robles.
Don't miss your chance to hear hits from their self-titled, debut studio album that hit the market in October 2010. It features popular songs like "Halfway There" and "Boyfriend," which was co-written and produced by Snoop Dogg.
Big Time Rush began filming in August 2009 as a television show on Nickelodeon and have since taken the world by storm through record sales, TV ratings and a huge worldwide tour.
In addition to acting, the main characters on this show are also required to perform vocally which led the directors to Kendall Schmidt as frontman Kendall Knight, Logan Henderson as brainy Logan Mitchell, James Maslow as heartthrob James Diamond and Carlos Pena, Jr. as funnyman Carlos Garcia.
The show's first season debuted in November 2009 and is currently working its way through the second season, while a third season is in the works for 2012. The show's premise focuses on Kendall as he is selected to move to Los Angeles to live in the Palmwoods Hotel and attend the Palmwood School for actors and singers. He agrees on the condition that his three friends, mom and sister can join him.
Each 30-minute episode has the boys overcoming some sort of obstacle, whether it be their overbearing producer, the eccentric billionaire that owns their record company or their apartment manager who is constantly trying to find a reason to kick the boys out.
Whether young or old, a Big Time Rush concert equals Big Time Fun for the whole family.
