Alexisonfire is a five-piece post-hardcore band from St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada established in 2001. Their music is characterized by turbulent and explosive dynamics with intricate guitar melodies and their lyrical topics range from relationship troubles to go-karting. Another defining aspect of their music is their consistent use of mulitple vocalists, all of their songs on both of their studio albums feature at least two singers, George providing screams and Dallas providing melody, and even occasionally Wade will lend his punk rock-esque vocals to the mixture. Despite popular belief from some individuals, not helped by the band spelling their name as one word, the band is called "Alexis On Fire" not "Alex Is On Fire". [1] The band is managed by Joel Carriere, co-founder of the popular Canadian online music magazine Bedlam Society, and their label, Dine Alone Records.
