Akon must know talent when he sees it. After all, he?s the one who signed Lady Gaga, who has risen to the top of the charts with "Poker Face" and "Paparazzi." She also won three Moonmen at the 2009 VMAs.
Akon said Lady Gaga has "paid her dues."
"She's been through all kinds of strings and ropes. She's jumped through all kinds of hoops. It was just a matter of time for her. You can't stop true talent. And you can't stop the truth. If that's what it is, that's what it is. At the end of the day, she's one of those rare finds. A diamond in the rough that you just have to polish out and let shine, and that's exactly what she's doing," Akon said.
Lady Gaga was set to tour with Kanye West, but pulled the plug last week. Today, she's announced that she will still tour on her own,?and with all new creative designs that will?in no way?reflect what she had originally planned with?Kanye.
Her tour is scheduled to start in mid-November. Maybe Akon will join her?
