While the founding members of the A Life Once Lost are no longer with the band, the metalcore unit is still releasing albums off of Ferret Music.
Vadim Taver on Guitar, Alin Ashraf on bass and TJ de Blois on drums formed the band in 199, and they released their debut album "Open Your Mouth for Speechless? In Case Those Appointed to Die" in 2000, and it was re-issued in 2004.
In 2003, they put out "The Fourth Plague: Flies" and "A Great Artist." Their breakout album was "Hunter" in 2005. It hit the No.28 spot on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and No. 39 on the Top Independent Albums chart.
"Iron Gag" was released in 2007, with a new lineup including Robert Meadows on vocals, Robert Carpenter and Snake Sustaine on guitar, Nick Frasca on bass and Justin Graves on drums.
While the group is identified within the metalcore sound, they consider themselves in the "technical groove metal" genre, using thumping rhythms.
