Aerosmith is an American rock band formed in Boston in 1970. The band consists of Steven Tyler (lead vocals, harmonica, piano), Joe Perry (guitar), Tom Hamilton (bass), Joey Kramer (drums), and Brad Whitford (guitar). Their style, which is rooted in blues-based hard rock, has also incorporated elements of pop rock, heavy metal, glam metal, and rhythm and blues, and has inspired many subsequent rock artists. Aerosmith is often called the “bad guys from Boston”. The band has gone through many challenges in their personal life and their careers, but they have still stood strong and made inspiring music. They are considered one of the true rock bands that married US roots rock with English pomp, and showed younger acts how to blend style with humor and ability.
